For the past couple of months, I have been having lots of pain in my lower back, thighs, legs, hips and buttock and my Rheumatalogist thought it was from my arthritis in my spine (Spinal Stenosis) or fibromyalgia. About a month ago, I experienced severe lower back pain, almost unbearable for more than a week. Then I began to have all over body numbness and loss of my sense of touch. My primary care doctor, ordered an EMG and a spine mri, since I've been a diabetic for 12 years, thinking it may be neuropathy. There was some neuropathy and stenosis, but nothing that warranted the severe pain and all of the new symptoms that I was having. Then lost my sense of touch whereby I could not tell what I was touching, profuse sweating, tingling/and prickling, extreme fatigue, dizziness and vertigo to the point that I had to take sick leave from work. My PCP referred me to a neurologist and today I had a brain mri and a brain wave test. The Neurologist said that I may have an autoimmune disease. Tuesday, some of the fatigue left me and I am beginning to regain my strength and feel as though I am coming out of a fog. When I began to research my symptoms due to increasing depression, I match many symptoms for MS. I will have the test results on 9/7. Does it sound like I have MS? Thanks for all of your posts...it helps to have good information when dealing with so many doctors and so many tests.

hi feellbetter2010. I was diagnosed in 2007. Do not read too much until you find out if it is indeed MS. There are so many other things it could be. Have patience and faith in your Dr. and you will find out. If you Do have MS this forum is a wonderful place. Good luck feelbetter,
